This is a carburetor float bowl gasket kit that seals the bowl to the carb body, preventing fuel leaks on small engines. It’s designed for Honda G- series engines and compatible Troy-Bilt pressure washers.
Fitment & Compatibility
- Check your engine model: Fits Honda G150, G200, GC190A, GCV135A, G300, GCV160, and similar small engines. Also fits Troy-Bilt pressure washers with Honda GCV160 or G200 motors.
- OEM vs aftermarket: This is an aftermarket kit, not Honda OEM. It includes the bowl gasket, a smaller O-ring (for the bowl bolt), and a new bolt washer. Measure your bowl bolt diameter—some aftermarket kits have slightly thicker washers that may not seal perfectly on older carbs.
- Specific measurements: The bowl gasket is ~2.5 inches outer diameter, with a ~1.8 inch inner hole. The bolt washer is ~10mm ID. Confirm these match your existing parts before buying.
Key Things to Know
- Fixes fuel drips: If your mower leaks fuel from the carburetor bowl area, this kit is the most common fix. The old gasket hardens over time.
- Easy install, but easy to overtighten: Replace the gasket and washer, then snug the bowl bolt—don’t crank it. Overtightening can strip the carb threads or crack the bowl.
- Check the bowl bolt condition: The kit includes a new washer, but if your bolt is corroded or the O-ring groove is damaged, you may still get leaks. Replace the bolt separately if needed.
- Not for all Honda carbs: Does not fit GXV series, GCV190, or larger engines (e.g., GX200). Verify your carburetor model (usually stamped on the side).
Should You Buy It
If you have a Honda G150–GCV160 engine or a Troy-Bilt pressure washer with a fuel leak from the carb bowl, this $8 kit is a cheap, effective fix. It’s easy to install, but double-check your carb model and bolt size—if you have an older or non-standard carb, the fit may be slightly off. For most DIYers, it’s a solid buy.
