The Xtreme Outdoor Power Equipment X0015 is an aftermarket PTO (Power Take-Off) clutch that engages and disengages the mower blades on zero-turn mowers. It’s designed as a direct replacement for OEM clutches on Bobcat ZT200/ZT331 series, Exmark Lazer Z (serial 159,999 and below), and select Kees ZKH models.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, verify these three things:
- Model & serial number – Fits Bobcat ZT200/ZT331 series, Exmark Lazer Z with serial number 159,999 or lower, and Kees models ZKH52220, ZKH52221, ZKH52222, ZKH52223. Check your mower’s serial number plate.
- Deck size – This clutch is for 48-inch to 60-inch decks typical on these machines. Measure your existing clutch’s shaft diameter (usually 1-inch or 1-1/8-inch) and bolt pattern (commonly 3-bolt or 4-bolt). The X0015 uses a 1-inch shaft and 3-bolt pattern.
- OEM vs aftermarket – This is a direct replacement for OEM part numbers like Exmark 1-523058 or Bobcat 720-05289. It is not OEM, but specs match exactly. If your deck has a different spindle height or belt routing, double-check clearance with a tape measure.
Key Things to Know
- Quality – Users report solid build quality for the price, with no premature failures in light-to-moderate use. Not as durable as OEM for commercial daily use, but fine for residential or light commercial.
- Installation difficulty – Moderate. You’ll need basic tools (wrenches, socket set) and a puller to remove the old clutch from the shaft. The electrical connector is a standard 2-pin flat; no wiring modifications needed if your mower uses the same plug.
- Common gotcha – The clutch must be stationary when engaging/disengaging; engaging at high RPM can cause premature wear. Also, check the air gap (0.010–0.020 inches) after installation—too tight or loose can cause slipping or dragging.
- Belt alignment – If your old clutch had a spacer or shim, reuse it. The X0015 is the same thickness as OEM (about 2.5 inches), but verify belt alignment with the deck pulleys before tightening.
Should You Buy It
Buy this if you need a reliable, budget-friendly replacement for a Bobcat, Exmark, or Kees zero-turn with a mid-size deck and don’t want to pay OEM prices. It’s a good fit for homeowners or light commercial users; skip it if you’re running a heavy commercial fleet and need the longest possible lifespan.
