The TIECTOWN 2026 Upgrade is a standalone electric dethatcher and scarifier, not a mower attachment. It’s designed for homeowners with small to medium lawns (up to roughly 1/3 acre) who need to remove thatch and moss without buying a tow-behind unit.

Fitment & Compatibility

• No mower attachment: This is a self-contained, corded electric machine. It does not mount to any mower deck or brand.
• Power requirement: Needs a 15-amp grounded outdoor extension cord (not included). Use a 14-gauge or heavier cord for runs over 50 feet to avoid voltage drop.
• Deck/width: 16-inch working width. Suitable for lawns with standard grass heights; not for thick, overgrown vegetation.
• Collection bag: 14.5-gallon bag attaches to the rear. Works with the included dethatching tines and scarifier reel, but bag capacity is small—expect frequent stops on larger lawns.
• No OEM cross-reference: This is a direct-replacement part within TIECTOWN’s own system. No universal adapter for other brands.

• Assembly required: Comes mostly pre-assembled, but you’ll need to attach the handle, bag, and adjust the depth lever. Takes about 15-20 minutes.
• Depth adjustment: 5 positions from 0 to -12mm (scalping to light scarifying). Start on the highest setting to avoid tearing up healthy grass.
• Cord management: The cord is top-mounted, but the machine is light (27 lbs) and easy to maneuver. Watch the cord—it can get tangled in the reel if you pivot too sharply.
• Bag fills fast: The 14.5-gallon bag is small for the 16-inch width. On thick thatch, you may empty it every 100-150 sq ft. Plan for frequent stops.
