What It Is

This is an aftermarket Kevlar-cord reinforced deck belt (OEM cross #754-06094 / 754P06094) for 60-inch cutting decks on select Cub Cadet ZT2, ZT3, ZTX4, ZTX5, and ZTX6 zero-turn mowers. It transfers power from the engine pulley to the blade spindles and engages the blades via the PTO.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm two things:

  1. Deck size must be exactly 60 inches – belts for 54" or 72" decks are different lengths.
  2. Your mower model – this belt fits Cub Cadet Ultima ZT2, ZT3, ZTX4, ZTX5, and ZTX6 with 60" fabricated decks. It does NOT fit standard ZT1 or ZT series without the “Ultima” designation.
  3. OEM part numbers – cross-references to Cub Cadet 754-06094 and 754P06094. If your original belt has a different number, measure its length (end-to-end, flat) – this belt is roughly 1/2" x 162.5".
  4. Aftermarket note – this is not an OEM Cub Cadet belt. It uses Kevlar cord for added strength, but dimensions should match OEM specs.

Key Things to Know

  • Kevlar cord vs. standard – Kevlar resists stretching and heat better than standard polyester belts, which can extend life on heavy-use mowers. However, it may be slightly stiffer and require a brief break-in period.
  • Installation difficulty – moderate. You’ll need to release tension on the idler pulley (spring-loaded), route the belt around all three spindles and the engine pulley per your deck diagram. A belt removal tool or long screwdriver helps.
  • Common gotcha – the belt can slip off if the idler pulley spring is weak or if the belt is misrouted. Double-check the belt path against your deck’s sticker or manual. Also, inspect spindle pulleys for wobble or damage before installing.
  • No reviews depth – only one review so far, so long-term durability data is thin. Kevlar is generally reliable, but brand reputation for this specific part is unproven.

Should You Buy It

If you have a Cub Cadet Ultima ZT2–ZTX6 with a 60" deck and want a stronger-than-stock belt for frequent mowing or tough grass, this is a cost-effective alternative to OEM (typically $45–$60). It’s not for casual users who prefer OEM simplicity, but for anyone comfortable with aftermarket parts and basic DIY installation, it’s a solid value.
