The Ryobi RAC155 is a replacement double-serrated trimmer blade head that uses 10 individual blades (5 per side) for heavy-duty brush cutting and clearing thick weeds. It’s designed for Ryobi 18V and 40V string trimmers and brush cutters, not for lawn mowers.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, confirm your trimmer model. This blade head fits Ryobi models: OLT1825M, OLT1831H, OLT1832, RLT2925, and RY18LT23A. It also works with Ryobi 40V trimmers that use the same blade head attachment. Check that your trimmer has a standard M10 x 1.25 left-hand thread shaft. Measure the shaft diameter (should be 10mm) and confirm it’s left-hand thread (tightens counter-clockwise). This is an OEM Ryobi part, not aftermarket. It will not fit trimmers with smaller or larger shaft threads, or non-Ryobi brand trimmers without an adapter.
Key Things to Know
- Quality & durability: Blades are double-serrated steel and handle thick brush well, but they dull faster than metal brush blades on heavy use. Replace blades when they no longer cut cleanly.
- Installation difficulty: Easy to install. Remove the trimmer head, attach the blade head with the included lock nut, and tighten firmly. No tools needed beyond the included wrench.
- Common gotchas: The blade head is for brush/weeds only—do not use it for edging or light grass, as it will throw debris and damage turf. Blades are disposable; you cannot sharpen them. Always wear eye and leg protection—blades can eject debris at high speed.
- Spare blades: Replacement 10-packs (Ryobi part RAC155-10) are available, but the head itself is not compatible with other brand blades.
Should You Buy It
Buy this if you own one of the listed Ryobi trimmers and need a dedicated brush-cutting head for clearing heavy weeds, brambles, or overgrown areas. It’s a solid OEM upgrade from a string head for tough jobs, but skip it if you only trim grass or want a permanent blade solution—string heads are better for light duty.
