This is a 2-pack of flat-free (puncture-proof) tire and wheel assemblies designed for zero-turn lawn mowers, replacing pneumatic tires that go flat. They are also suitable for other small equipment like wheelbarrows, hand trucks, and utility carts.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, check these three things:
- Tire size: The tire is 11x4.00-5. Verify your existing tire has the same diameter (11"), width (4.00"), and rim diameter (5").
- Bearing/bore size: This pack comes with 3/4" precision bearings installed. It also includes adapter bushings for 5/8" and 1/2" axles. Measure your mower’s axle diameter to confirm one of these three sizes fits.
- Hub center hole: The centered hub fits mowers with a 3.4", 4", 4.5", or 5" hub pattern. Measure the bolt circle or center hole on your current wheel to verify compatibility. Not compatible with offset hubs found on some older or non-standard mowers.
OEM vs. aftermarket: This is a universal aftermarket replacement. It will fit most zero-turn mowers (e.g., Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, John Deere, Toro, Bad Boy) that use 11x4.00-5 tires with a centered hub, but always measure your axle and hub pattern first.
Key Things to Know
- Flat-free = no maintenance: No air needed; never goes flat. But ride is stiffer than pneumatic – expect a firmer feel on rough ground.
- Weight: Each assembly is heavy (~8-10 lbs). The extra weight can slightly affect mower balance and turning effort.
- Installation: Simple bolt-on if axle and hub match. May require removing a snap ring or cotter pin. No special tools needed.
- Bearing adapters included: The 5/8" and 1/2" bushings are plastic sleeves. They work fine but can wear over time – check for snug fit.
Should You Buy It
Buy this if you’re tired of fixing flats on your zero-turn mower and want a durable, no-maintenance solution. It’s a good value for the price, but only if your mower has a centered hub and one of the three axle sizes. Not ideal for rough terrain where a softer ride matters, or for mowers with offset hubs.
