What It Is

This is a 42-inch (deck) replacement mower belt, designed primarily for John Deere X300 series lawn tractors and select Z245 EZtrak zero-turn mowers. It drives the cutting blades from the engine pulley. The belt is 1/2 inch wide by 146-1/4 inches long, made from aramid fiber (a synthetic, heat-resistant material).

Fitment & Compatibility

What to check before buying:

• Deck size: This belt fits 42-inch decks. It does NOT fit 48-inch decks on the X300 series.
• Model compatibility: Confirmed for John Deere X300, X304, X310. Also fits the 48-inch deck on the Z245 EZtrak zero-turn (note: the 48-inch deck uses the same belt as the 42-inch deck on these models).
• OEM vs aftermarket: This is an aftermarket replacement for OEM part M154621. It is not a genuine John Deere belt.
• Measurement: Verify your current belt is 1/2" wide x 146-1/4" long. If your original belt is stretched or broken, measure from the outside of the belt loop (circumference) or check the OEM part number.
