What It Is

The Oregon 396-719 PK3 Gator G6 Mulcher Blades are a set of three aftermarket mulching blades designed for 56V EGO electric lawn mowers. They replace the stock EGO blades to improve mulching performance and produce finer grass clippings.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, verify these three things:

  • Deck size: These blades are 18-15/16" long. They fit EGO mowers with a 21" or 22" steel deck (not the 20" or 18" plastic deck models). Measure your existing blade length—if it’s exactly 18-15/16", you’re good.
  • Model number: Confirmed compatible with EGO models LM2100, LM2101, LM2102SP, LM2112SP, LM2130SP, LM2135SP, and LM2142SP. Also fits select Power+ models (check your manual).
  • OEM vs aftermarket: These are a direct replacement for EGO stock blades (OEM part number 283002001). They use the same center hole size and mounting pattern. No adapters or modifications needed.

Do not assume they fit all EGO mowers—some older or smaller-deck models use different blade lengths.

Key Things to Know

  • Quality: Oregon Gator blades are made from hardened steel with a carbide coating on the cutting edge. They stay sharp significantly longer than standard EGO blades—expect 2–3x the lifespan.
  • Installation: Easy swap. You need a 15mm socket (or 9/16") and a torque wrench (recommended 35–40 ft-lbs). Mark blade orientation before removal. The set includes three blades (one per spindle on triple-blade decks) plus a new center bolt.
  • Common gotcha: These blades are slightly heavier than OEM. On some EGO mowers, this can reduce runtime by 5–10% on a full charge. Fine for typical yards, but if you’re near your battery’s limit, account for it.
  • Performance: They produce very fine clippings that decompose quickly. Great for bagging elimination, but not ideal if you need to bag leaves or wet grass—they clog more easily than stock blades.

Should You Buy It

Buy these if you want noticeably better mulching (finer clippings, less bagging) and longer blade life than stock EGO blades. They’re a worthwhile upgrade for most EGO 21" or 22" deck owners, especially if you mow weekly and want a cleaner lawn. Skip them if you primarily bag clippings or have a smaller 20" EGO mower.
