What It Is

This is a set of three aftermarket mulch blades designed for Bad Boy ZT and CZT zero-turn mowers with a 60-inch deck. They replace standard lift blades to chop clippings finer and recirculate them into the turf, reducing bagging needs.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Deck size: Must be exactly 60 inches. Measure deck width edge-to-edge; a 61" or 52" deck won’t work.
  • Model fit: Fits Bad Boy ZT, CZT, and most Bad Boy 60" zero-turn models (check your serial number). Not for Outlaw, Maverick, or other Bad Boy series with different spindle spacing.
  • OEM vs aftermarket: These are aftermarket, not OEM Bad Boy parts. Verify blade length, center hole diameter (typically 1" or 7/8"), and offset before installing. Compare to your current blade.
  • Measurement check: Remove one existing blade and measure length (end to end), center hole size, and thickness. Match to product specs—some Bad Boy models use a 20.5" x 1" center hole blade.

Key Things to Know

  • Installation difficulty: Moderate. Requires a socket wrench, torque wrench (set to 70–90 ft-lbs), and blade removal tool. Always disconnect the spark plug first.
  • Mulch performance: Works best with dry grass; wet or tall grass may clump under the deck. Consider a high-lift blade for bagging.
  • Balance & sharpness: Aftermarket blades may need balancing out of the box. Use a blade balancer—an unbalanced blade vibrates and damages the spindle.
  • Free EBOOK: The included lawn care guide is basic but useful for mowing height and frequency tips. Not a deal-maker.

Should You Buy It

If you own a Bad Boy ZT or CZT with a 60" deck, want to mulch clippings instead of bagging, and are comfortable with basic blade installation and balancing, this is a solid, cost-effective option. Skip it if you need OEM fitment for a non-Bad Boy model, or if your primary use is bagging or cutting wet grass.
