What It Is

This is a 3-pack of Husqvarna XP synthetic blend 2-cycle oil (2.6 oz bottles), pre-measured for mixing one gallon of fuel at a 50:1 ratio. Designed for any air-cooled 2-cycle engine—trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and hedge trimmers—that requires a 50:1 mix.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Engine type: Only for 2-cycle (2-stroke) engines. Not for 4-cycle mowers, tractors, or zero-turns.
  • Mix ratio: 50:1 (2.6 oz per 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). Do NOT use in engines requiring 40:1 or 32:1 without adjusting mix.
  • Brand fit: Works in all brands (Stihl, Echo, Poulan, Ryobi, etc.) as long as they call for 50:1. Not Husqvarna-specific.
  • Gas type: Use with unleaded gasoline up to 10% ethanol (E10). Do not use with E15 or higher ethanol blends.

Key Things to Know

  • Pre-measured convenience: Each bottle treats exactly 1 gallon—no measuring cups or guesswork. Great for quick field mixing.
  • Synthetic blend vs. full synthetic: XP is a synthetic blend (not full synthetic). It offers better protection than straight mineral oil but less thermal stability than a full synthetic. Fine for homeowner use.
  • Storage: Unopened bottles last 3–5 years. Opened bottles should be used within 30 days or disposed of—oil degrades and can clog carburetors.
  • Common gotcha: If your engine says “50:1” but is older (pre-2000), consider a full synthetic or 40:1 mix for extra protection. This oil meets current JASO FD/ISO EGD standards but lacks the higher film strength of premium full synthetics.

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you own a 2-cycle Husqvarna (or any brand) trimmer, chainsaw, or blower that requires 50:1 mix and you want a no-fuss, pre-measured oil that’s better than cheap generic blends. Skip it if you need full synthetic for high-heat professional use or if your engine requires a different mix ratio.
