What It Is

This is a combo kit from Greenworks that includes a 60V 17" brushless push mower, a 60V 13" string trimmer, one 4.0Ah battery, and a 3A charger. It’s designed for homeowners with small to medium lawns (up to 1/4 acre) who want cordless, battery-powered lawn care without buying separate tools.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Mower deck size: 17" cutting width – fits tight spaces and small yards but won’t match larger decks (e.g., 20" or 21").
  • Battery system: Uses Greenworks 60V batteries (Genuine only – aftermarket 60V batteries may not seat properly or trigger error codes). The included 4.0Ah battery is compatible with all Greenworks 60V tools (string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws).
  • Charger: 3A charger works with all Greenworks 60V batteries, but takes ~80 min to fully charge a 4.0Ah pack. Not compatible with 40V or 80V systems.
  • Physical check: Ensure the mower’s handle folds for storage if space is tight. The string trimmer uses a bump-feed head; replacement line is 0.080" diameter (common, but not 0.095").

Key Things to Know

  • Battery runtime: The single 4.0Ah battery gives ~30-40 min on the mower (depending on grass height/density) and ~20-30 min on the trimmer. Plan to buy a second battery if your yard is near the 1/4-acre limit.
  • Installation difficulty: No assembly required – mower and trimmer come mostly assembled. Just attach the handle, trimmer guard, and battery.
  • Common gotcha: The 3A charger is slower than a 4A or 6A option. If you need faster turnaround, consider an upgrade. Also, the mower’s brushless motor is quieter but won’t self-propel – you push it.
  • Quality: Solid build for the price; brushless motors last longer and need less maintenance than brushed. The trimmer’s bump-feed head can jam if you use thick weeds repeatedly.

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you have a small lawn (under 1/4 acre), want a single battery platform for both mowing and trimming, and don’t mind pushing the mower. It’s a good value for cordless convenience, but skip it if you need self-propulsion, have a larger yard, or already own a different battery system.
