• No deck size to check: Unlike a mower attachment, this connects directly to the power head shaft—no mower deck compatibility needed.
• OEM only: This is an official EGO accessory. No aftermarket alternatives exist that match the quick-connect system.
• Measure the shaft: Ensure your power head has the standard 1-inch hex shaft and locking collar—all EGO multi-head models do.

Key Things to Know

• Installation difficulty: Very easy. Slide it onto the power head shaft, align the locking pin, and tighten the collar. No tools required.
• Thatch removal depth: Adjustable via a lever on the attachment—set it to one of three positions (light, medium, heavy) depending on your lawn’s thatch layer. Start light to avoid scalping.
• Not an aerator: This attachment only dethatches; it does not aerate soil. If you need core aeration, you’ll need a separate attachment or tool.
• Battery life: On a 5.0Ah battery, expect roughly 20–30 minutes of continuous use on a medium setting. Heavier thatch or taller grass drains faster.
