What It Is

The EGO AR2100 is a bolt-on striping kit designed for EGO’s 21-inch walk-behind mowers. It uses a weighted roller that presses grass down in alternating directions as you mow, creating professional-looking lawn stripes.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit fits only EGO 21-inch walk-behind mowers with a steel deck (model numbers LM2100, LM2101, LM2102SP, LM2130SP, LM2135SP). It does not fit EGO’s 20-inch or 56V mowers with plastic decks. Before buying, measure your deck’s rear mounting bracket spacing—the AR2100 requires a 6-inch center-to-center bolt pattern at the rear axle. Check your mower’s serial tag (under the battery compartment) to confirm deck material: steel only. This is an OEM EGO accessory, so no third-party adapters needed.

Key Things to Know

• Installation difficulty: Moderate. You’ll need a socket wrench and about 20 minutes. The kit replaces your rear axle bolts with longer ones to mount the roller bracket—keep the original bolts in case you remove it.
• Weight and handling: The roller adds roughly 5 lbs to the rear, which can make the mower slightly harder to push on slopes. On flat lawns, it’s barely noticeable.
• Striping effect: Works best on dry, upright grass. Wet or very tall grass will bend inconsistently, ruining the stripe look. The roller leaves a clean, defined stripe on most cool-season grasses (fescue, bluegrass, rye).
• Common gotcha: The roller can scrape on uneven ground or high curbs. Avoid dragging the mower sideways over obstacles—it can bend the bracket.
