Fitment & Compatibility

This is a standalone tool, not a replacement part. No fitment checks needed—just make sure you have a standard 120V outdoor extension cord (14-gauge or heavier for runs over 100 feet). It uses a proprietary auto-feed head; replacement spools must be BLACK+DECKER AF-100 or compatible .065-inch line. Do not use aftermarket line that’s thicker than .080-inch—it will jam the auto-feed mechanism.

Key Things to Know

• Auto-feed can be finicky: Tap the head on the ground while running to advance line. If it stops feeding, the spool may be wound too tight or the line is tangled—rewind manually.
• No tool needed for line changes: The head has a simple push-and-turn release. Spare spools are cheap ($5–$8) and widely available.
