What It Is

This is a 2-pack of 9.0Ah aftermarket lithium-ion batteries designed to replace DeWalt 20V MAX and 60V MAX batteries. They power any DeWalt cordless tool that accepts the standard slide-on battery interface, including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Voltage & Platform: Works with all DeWalt 20V MAX and 60V MAX (FlexVolt) tools. The 9.0Ah capacity is a 20V rating; in a 60V tool, it automatically switches to 3.0Ah at higher voltage.
  • Replaces OEM Models: DCB606 (6.0Ah), DCB609 (9.0Ah), DCB612 (12.0Ah in 20V mode), DCB200, DCB206, DCB207, and others with the same slide-on connector.
  • Physical Fit: Same dimensions as OEM 9.0Ah packs. Check battery well depth on your tool—some older 20V tools may have a tight fit with tall-capacity packs.
  • Charger Compatibility: Works with DeWalt 20V/60V chargers (DCB107, DCB115, DCB118, etc.). Do not use with 12V or 18V NiCad chargers.
  • Tool Compatibility: Confirmed for 20V mowers (DCMW220, DCMW240) and 60V mowers (DCMW600, DCMW640). Verify your mower’s battery port accepts slide-on packs—some older models use a different interface.

Key Things to Know

  • Aftermarket vs. OEM: These are not DeWalt-manufactured cells. Capacity and cycle life may be lower than genuine DeWalt DCB609 packs. Some users report shorter runtime after 50-100 charge cycles.
  • No Fuel Gauge: Unlike OEM FlexVolt batteries, these lack a 4-LED fuel gauge. You won’t see remaining charge until the tool slows or stops.
  • Installation: Zero difficulty—slide on until latch clicks. Remove by pressing release button and sliding off. Keep contacts clean and dry.
  • Storage & Safety: Store at 40-80°F, charge only when cool (above 32°F). Avoid deep discharge; recharge when tool noticeably weakens.

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you need affordable backup batteries for light-to-medium lawn work (trimming, blowing, small mowers) and don’t require the long lifespan or charge indicators of OEM packs. Skip if you rely on a high-drain 60V mower for large lawns—genuine DeWalt batteries deliver more consistent power and longer service life.
