What It Is

The AR-PRO 13x5.00-6 flat-free tire and wheel set is a solid, smooth-tread replacement for the front axle of riding zero-turn mowers and garden tractors. Designed to eliminate punctures and air pressure maintenance, it’s ideal for residential and light commercial use on paved or well-maintained turf.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, verify these three measurements:

  • Tire size: 13x5.00-6 (13” outer diameter, 5” width, 6” rim). This fits any mower that uses that size, but not 13x6.50-6 or 13x5.00-6 with a taller profile.
  • Bearing size: These come with both 3/4” and 5/8” bearings (two per wheel). Check your axle diameter – if it’s 3/4” or 5/8”, you’re set. If it’s 1/2” or 1”, you need a different wheel.
  • Hub centering: The hub is centered and adjustable from 3.25” to 5.9” (center hole to bolt hole). This covers most zero-turn front axles, but measure your existing hub bolt pattern. It’s not offset – only centered hubs.

Common brands: Craftsman, Husqvarna, John Deere, Troy-Bilt, Ariens, Snapper. Not for push mowers, large tractors, or commercial zero-turns with 1” axles.

Key Things to Know

  • Installation: Easy – remove old wheel, slide on, secure with included axle pins or existing hardware. No tire mounting or inflation needed.
  • Ride quality: Solid rubber means a stiffer ride on bumps compared to pneumatic. Fine for flat lawns, rough on uneven terrain.
  • Weight: Each wheel is ~8 lbs, so slightly heavier than pneumatic. Won’t affect mower balance noticeably.
  • Tread: Smooth – best for pavement and short grass. Avoid on wet, steep, or muddy slopes (minimal traction).

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you’re tired of patching front tires or checking air pressure on a residential zero-turn or garden tractor with 13x5.00-6 tires and 3/4” or 5/8” axles. It’s a rugged, no-maintenance upgrade for flat, dry property. Skip it if you need a cushioned ride on rough ground or require a 1” axle fit.
