What It Is

The 8TEN TURFBUCKET Twin Bagger System is an aftermarket 2-bag grass collection attachment for 42" and 46" deck Cub Cadet LTX and Troy-Bilt Horse lawn tractors (2009+ models). It replaces OEM baggers for those who want a lower-cost alternative for collecting clippings.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, verify your tractor’s deck size (42" or 46") and model year (2009 or newer). This system fits Cub Cadet LTX 1040, 1042, 1045, 1046, 1050, 1054, and Troy-Bilt Horse models with the same deck widths. Check that your tractor has a rear hitch plate and that the discharge chute aligns with the bagger’s mounting bracket. Measure the distance from the deck discharge to the rear of the tractor—some models may need adapter brackets (not included). It is not compatible with zero-turn mowers, older LT series, or decks under 42".

Key Things to Know

  • Installation difficulty: Moderate. Requires removing the mower deck, mounting brackets, and routing the chute. Expect 2–3 hours; basic tools needed.
  • Build quality: Plastic bags and chute are durable but not as heavy-duty as OEM. Bags may tear over time if overloaded with wet grass.
  • Common gotcha: The bagger can interfere with the tractor’s rear hitch or bumper on some models—check clearance before buying. Also, the chute may clog with tall, damp grass; keep blades sharp and mow dry.
  • No OEM support: This is an aftermarket part; no warranty or parts support from Cub Cadet. Spare bags are sold separately.

Should You Buy It

Buy this if you own a compatible Cub Cadet LTX or Troy-Bilt Horse (2009+) and want a functional bagger for regular lawn cleanup without paying OEM prices. Skip it if you need heavy-duty durability or expect to bag wet, thick grass often—OEM or a metal bagger is better. For the price, it’s a decent value for light-to-moderate use.
