This is a set of three high-lift mower blades designed for 42-inch cutting decks on select Exmark and Toro zero-turn mowers. High-lift blades create stronger upward airflow for better grass clipping discharge and bagging, making them ideal for tall or damp grass.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, check three things:
- Deck size: Fits only 42-inch decks. Measure your deck width or verify your mower model uses a 42-inch cutting deck.
- Model compatibility: Confirmed for Toro TimeCutter Z4200, Z4220, and Toro Quest Series. Also fits Exmark models that share the same 42-inch spindle pattern (check your Exmark manual or measure old blade center hole to center hole). Not for all Toro or Exmark mowers—verify your model number.
- OEM replacement: Replaces Toro OEM part 110-6568-03. These are aftermarket, not genuine Toro. The center hole diameter, blade length (approx. 21 inches), and oval mounting hole pattern match the OEM spec. Measure your existing blade length and hole pattern before ordering.
Key Things to Know
- High-lift performance: Stronger suction than standard blades, but may cause more wear on the engine and deck if used in dry, dusty conditions. Best for bagging or thick grass.
- Installation: Direct bolt-on replacement. Use a torque wrench to tighten blade bolts to 50-60 ft-lbs. Ensure blades are oriented with the lift wings pointing upward toward the deck.
- Common gotcha: These are slightly thinner than some OEM blades—check that your blade bolt washers and nuts are not worn. If the blade wobbles after tightening, replace hardware.
- Balance: Out of the box, some users report needing to balance them. Use a blade balancer before installing to avoid vibration.
Should You Buy It
If you own a Toro TimeCutter Z4200, Z4220, or Quest Series with a 42-inch deck (or a compatible Exmark model) and want better bagging or discharge performance in thick grass, this is a solid, cost-effective upgrade over standard blades. Skip if you prefer a lower-lift blade for dry, short lawns or if you want genuine Toro parts for warranty reasons.
