What It Is

This 1/2" x 78" drive belt transfers power from the engine to the mower deck’s blades on select MTD, Cub Cadet, and Troy-Bilt lawn tractors. It’s designed for 42–46 inch side-discharge or mulching decks common on older to mid-2000s models.

Fitment & Compatibility

• Check your model number – Fits Cub Cadet GT1554, LT1018, LT1022, LT1024, LT1042, LT1045, LT1046, LT1050, SLT1550, SLT1554, GT1554VT, plus many Troy-Bilt and MTD equivalents.
• Measure your old belt – Must be exactly 1/2" wide and 78" (outside circumference). Slight variations in belt length or width will cause slippage or poor engagement.
• OEM vs aftermarket – This is an aftermarket belt, not genuine Cub Cadet. It works fine for most home-use decks but may wear faster under heavy commercial use.
• Deck size matters – Only compatible with decks that use a single belt for both blade drive and deck engagement (not a separate PTO belt system).
