This is a replacement mulch plug for MTD 42-inch and 46-inch lawn tractors (2012 and later). It blocks the side-discharge opening so grass clippings recirculate and get cut finer, dropping back onto the lawn as mulch.

• Model years: Designed for 2012 and newer MTD tractors. Older models (pre-2012) use a different latch design.

• Measurements: Plug opening is roughly 8" wide x 4" tall. Measure your deck’s discharge chute opening—if it’s smaller or larger, this won’t seal.
