What It Is

This is a two-pack of third-party 9.0Ah batteries designed to replace Dewalt 60V FlexVolt batteries. They power Dewalt 60V and 20V tools—including lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers—by automatically switching voltage depending on the tool.

Fitment & Compatibility

  • Voltage & chemistry: These are 60V max (54V nominal) lithium-ion packs. They work in any Dewalt 60V FlexVolt tool and all Dewalt 20V MAX tools.
  • Charger compatibility: Use with Dewalt DCB1104, DCB115, DCB118, or any Dewalt 20V/60V charger. Do not use with older Dewalt 18V NiCd chargers.
  • Physical fit: Same dimensions as OEM DCB609. Fits all Dewalt 60V mowers (e.g., DCMW220, DCMW225) and 20V mowers, but check battery well depth—some older 20V mowers have shallow compartments that may not accept the taller 9.0Ah pack.
  • Model list: Compatible with DCB609, DCB606, DCB612, DCB200, DCB201, DCB203, DCB204, DCB206, DCB207, DCB209. Not compatible with Dewalt 18V XRP or older NiCd tools.

Before buying: Measure your mower’s battery compartment height. The 9.0Ah pack is about 1 inch taller than a standard 20V 5.0Ah pack. Also verify your charger model—if it’s a very old Dewalt charger (pre-2012), it may not charge 60V packs.

Key Things to Know

  • Aftermarket vs OEM: These are not genuine Dewalt. Expect slightly shorter runtime and fewer charge cycles than OEM DCB609. Cooling may be less efficient during high-drain use (e.g., mowing thick grass).
  • No battery gauge: Unlike genuine FlexVolt packs, these lack the LED fuel gauge. You’ll need to guess remaining charge.
  • Installation: Drop-in fit, no modifications needed. Charge fully before first use (about 2–3 hours with a standard Dewalt charger).
  • Warranty risk: Using third-party batteries may void tool warranties. Dewalt tools have protection circuits; these packs should trigger them, but occasional compatibility glitches (tool not starting) can happen.

Should You Buy It

Buy if you need two high-capacity batteries for light-to-medium mowing or yard work and want to save ~$80 over OEM. Skip if you rely on your mower for heavy commercial use, need a fuel gauge, or want the longest lifespan—genuine Dewalt packs last longer and charge more reliably.
