This is a pair of 20x10.00-8 tubeless rear tires mounted on steel wheels with a 3/4" bore, 3/16" keyway, and 3.5" offset hub. Designed for riding lawn mowers and garden tractors that need wide, flotation-style rear tires for better traction on soft ground, hills, or wet grass.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check these before buying:
- Tire size: Must fit 20x10.00-8 or 20x10-8. Not compatible with 20x8-8, 20x9-8, or 20x12-8.
- Bore diameter: Axle must be 3/4" (0.75"). If your axle is 5/8", 1", or metric, these won’t fit.
- Keyway: Requires a 3/16" keyway on the axle. If your mower uses a keyless hub or a different key size, modify or skip.
- Offset: 3.5" offset (center of wheel to mounting face). Measure your current wheel’s offset—too much or too little can cause rubbing on the deck or frame.
- Overall width: Tire is 10" wide. Ensure at least 11" clearance between your mower’s frame and deck on both sides.
- Bolt pattern: 4-bolt hub with 4" center-to-center spacing (common on most riding mowers like Husqvarna, Craftsman, John Deere, MTD). Verify yours matches.
- Load rating: 4-ply rated for up to ~300 lbs per tire—fine for standard residential mowers but not heavy commercial zero-turns.
Key Things to Know
- Installation: Bolts on directly if axle and bolt pattern match. You’ll need a 3/16" key (not included) and a 3/4" socket for the axle nut. No tire mounting or balancing needed—tubeless and pre-assembled.
- Traction: The wide tread and 10" width improve grip on slopes and soft lawns, but they may leave deeper ruts on delicate turf if the mower is heavy.
- Quality: 4-ply rating is adequate for homeowner use, but the steel rim can rust if exposed to salt or stored wet. Apply a light coat of rust inhibitor to the hub face.
- Gotcha: The 3.5" offset pushes the tire outward. On some mowers, this can cause the tire to rub the deck or fender. Measure your current offset carefully—don’t assume it matches.
Should You Buy It
Buy these if you need a direct-fit, wide rear tire replacement for a standard riding mower with a 3/4" axle and 3/16" keyway, and you want better grip on uneven or sloped terrain without moving to a larger diameter. Skip them if your mower has a metric axle, a different offset, or if you need a higher ply rating for heavy commercial use.
