What It Is

This is a set of three 17.5-inch high-lift mower blades designed for Toro TimeCutter models with a 50-inch cutting deck. The high-lift design creates stronger airflow to lift grass before cutting, improving bagging performance and discharge quality, especially in thick or wet grass.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, verify these three points:

  • Deck size: Fits Toro TimeCutter 50-inch decks only. Do not use on 42-inch or 60-inch decks.
  • OEM part numbers: Replaces Toro 115-5059-03, 110-6837-03, and 112-9759-03. Check your current blade’s part number stamped on the blade or in your owner’s manual.
  • Center hole: Circle center hole design (not star or oval). Measure your spindle’s center hole diameter – these blades require a 5/8-inch center hole.
  • Blade length: Each blade is 17.5 inches long. Measure your old blade from tip to tip. If yours is 17.5 inches, these fit.

Key Things to Know

  • High lift = more power draw. Expect slightly reduced run time per charge on electric models and slightly more engine load on gas models. Not ideal for mulching-only users.
  • Installation difficulty: Easy. Remove the center bolt, replace blade, torque to 40-50 ft-lbs. Use the included bolts and washers – they’re grade 8 and correct length. Reuse old bolts only if in perfect condition.
  • Common gotcha: These blades are not for standard Toro Recycler or Super Recycler decks. They are specific to TimeCutter zero-turn models with a 50-inch fabricated deck.
  • Quality check: Aftermarket blades. Check for balanced weight – hold blade on a screwdriver to see if it tips. If unbalanced, return.

Should You Buy It

If you own a Toro TimeCutter with a 50-inch deck and want better bagging or side-discharge performance in tall or damp grass, this is a solid upgrade. At $31.99 for a three-pack with hardware, it’s a good value compared to OEM replacements. Skip if you primarily mulch – high-lift blades leave clippings too coarse for mulching.
