A set of two flat-free (airless) 13x5.00-6 front tires for zero-turn mowers, garden tractors, or lawn tractors, designed to eliminate flats and support up to 500 lbs per tire. These are a direct replacement for pneumatic front tires on equipment like Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, John Deere, and similar brands.
Fitment & Compatibility
Before buying, check these three measurements:
- Tire size: Must be 13x5.00-6 (13" diameter, 5" width, 6" rim). Not compatible with 13x6.5-6 or 15x5-6 sizes.
- Bearing size: Choose between 3/4" or 5/8" inner bearings. Measure your axle diameter—most zero-turns use 3/4", but some tractors use 5/8".
- Hub offset: The hub is centered and bolted to the rim. Verify your existing rim bolt pattern (typically 4-bolt on 4" or 6" centers). If your mower uses a different offset or bolt pattern, these won’t fit without modification.
Not compatible with push mowers, riding mowers with 8" front wheels, or machines requiring a non-centered hub.
Key Things to Know
- Ride quality: Flat-free tires are stiffer than pneumatics. Expect a rougher ride on uneven terrain—fine for flat lawns, but jarring on bumpy ground.
- Weight: Each tire weighs about 12-14 lbs; the set adds noticeable heft to the front end. May slightly reduce maneuverability on steep slopes.
- Installation: Bolt-on replacement if bearings and bolt pattern match. No tire mounting or air pressure needed. Check that the hub bolts are long enough for your mower’s axle.
- Durability: The solid rubber compound can crack or wear faster under heavy UV exposure or extreme cold. Not ideal for year-round outdoor storage.
Should You Buy It
Buy these if you’re tired of fixing flats on your zero-turn or garden tractor front tires and have a mostly flat, smooth lawn. Skip them if you need a cushioned ride over rough terrain, operate on steep hills, or have a non-standard hub offset. At ~$70 for a pair, they’re a good value for hassle-free durability.
