What It Is

This is a set of two 13x5.00-6 flat-free (solid) tires designed for zero-turn mower front wheels, as well as other lawn tractors, wheelbarrows, or small trailers. The solid rubber construction eliminates flats, making them ideal for residential and commercial use where downtime from punctures is unacceptable.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm these three measurements:

  1. Tire size: 13x5.00-6 (13” outer diameter, 5” width, 6” rim diameter). Verify your current tire sidewall matches 13x5.00-6 or 13x5-6.
  2. Hub center hole: The centered hub fits a 3.25” to 6.85” bore. Measure your axle’s hub bore diameter—if it’s outside this range, the tire won’t mount.
  3. Bearing size: Includes 1/2”, 3/4”, and 5/8” bearings. Most zero-turn front axles use 1/2” or 5/8”—measure your axle shaft diameter. If you have a 3/4” axle (rare on mowers), these will work too.

Common compatible brands: Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, John Deere, Toro, Gravely, and many zero-turn mowers with 13x5-6 front tires. Not for riding mowers with 15” or 16” front tires.

Key Things to Know

  • Weight & ride: Solid tires are heavier than pneumatic—expect a firmer ride on rough terrain. No air pressure to adjust.
  • Durability: Flat-free construction prevents punctures but can wear faster on hard surfaces if used for heavy towing.
  • Installation: Slide onto axle, secure with a washer and cotter pin or clip. No tire mounting tools needed. Ensure the hub bore clears your axle nut.
  • Load capacity: Solid tires typically handle 300-400 lbs each, sufficient for zero-turn front ends (check your mower’s front axle weight rating if towing).

Should You Buy It

If you’re tired of patching or replacing front tires on your zero-turn mower from thorns, glass, or nails, this is a practical upgrade. The price is competitive for two solid tires with multiple bearing sizes. It’s less ideal if you need a cushioned ride on bumpy terrain or have a non-standard hub bore. Best for residential or light commercial mowing on well-kept lawns.
