What It Is

This is a 2-pack of flat-free 11x4.00-5 solid tires mounted on wheels, designed for zero-turn mowers and some lawn tractors as front caster tires. They eliminate flats from punctures on rough terrain, gravel, or debris-heavy lawns.

Fitment & Compatibility

Before buying, confirm these three measurements:

  • Tire size: Must be 11x4.00-5 (11" diameter, 4" wide, 5" rim). Measure your existing front tire sidewall.
  • Axle diameter: Choose 3/4" or 5/8" bearing option. Measure your mower’s front axle bolt diameter with a caliper.
  • Hub offset: The centered hub fits 3.4" to 5.6" width. Measure from inside wheel mount to outside of your old wheel’s hub face to ensure the centered design aligns with your mower’s frame (common on zero-turn brands like Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, Ariens, John Deere, Bad Boy, Gravely). Not for lawn tractors with offset (non-centered) hubs.

Cross-reference your mower model’s OEM part number (e.g., 734-04100, 734-04018) if possible. These are aftermarket, not OEM, so minor fit variations may occur on very narrow or wide frames.

Key Things to Know

  • Ride quality: Solid tires are heavier and stiffer than pneumatic. You’ll feel small bumps more; not ideal for smooth, manicured lawns.
  • Installation: Slides directly onto the axle spindle, secured by a washer and cotter pin or bolt. No inflation needed. May require a spacer if your axle is longer than the hub depth.
  • Durability: UV-resistant rubber lasts 3-5 years in direct sun. The plastic hub centers are durable but can crack under extreme impact (e.g., hitting a large rock at speed).
  • Weight: ~8 lbs per tire. Heavier than pneumatics, which can slightly affect steering response on some zero-turn models.

Should You Buy It

Buy if you mow rough, debris-filled terrain (sticks, rocks, thorny brush) and are tired of patching flat front tires. Skip if you prioritize a cushioned ride on smooth lawns—pneumatic tires will feel better. Good value for the price, but verify hub offset and axle size first.
