Fitment & Compatibility

Deck size must be exactly 42 inches. These blades fit Toro Timecutter models SS4225, SS4200, and 79214. They also work with the factory mulching kit (part 106-8744-03 / 110-6568-03). Measure your existing blade length—these are 18-1/8 inches long with a 1-inch center hole and 5-point star drive. Check your spindle orientation; some Timecutter decks require a specific blade offset. If your mower uses a 2-blade deck, this 2-pack covers both spindles. Not compatible with 44-inch, 50-inch, or other deck sizes.

Key Things to Know

• Installation: Requires a 15/16-inch socket and torque wrench. Tighten to 70-90 ft-lbs—overtightening strips the spindle threads.
• Lift & airflow: These have a higher lift profile than standard blades. That improves mulching but may slightly reduce bagging performance if you switch back.
• Sharpening: Resharpenable, but the heat-treated edge dulls faster than OEM Toro blades. Expect to replace or sharpen every 25-30 hours on typical lawns.
• Balance: Each blade must be balanced after sharpening. An unbalanced blade causes vibration and can damage spindle bearings.
